On 4 April 2024, a number of members of the Gavi and Global Fund boards and Global Financing Facility Investors Group wrote to board leadership of the three global health initiatives, welcoming their commitment to advancing the Lusaka Agenda principles and their commitment to drive action through the establishment of a time-limited joint committee working group.
The letter also requests that the discussion around a joint committee working group, including terms of reference and composition, be advanced at upcoming meetings/retreats to enable progress on the joint work in 2024/25.
At its heart, the Lusaka Agenda aims to deliver greater long-term impact for countries and communities, the achievement of which requires strong engagement of governments and civil society.
