We align to the tenets of the roadmap to foster better alignment and coherence of external funding and technical assistance, including global health initiatives to strengthen health systems toward universal health coverage.
In this era of disease outbreaks, climate change amongst others necessitates the need for aligning coherence of external funding and technical assistance to national priorities. External financing support should be aligned to country priorities, strategies and harmonized to avoid duplications and results measured for the purposes of accountability towards ensuring that all people have timely access to high quality health services. ย
It is my hope that the foundation of the Lusaka agenda will inform the direction of the FGHI towards a vision of domestically-financed health system.โ
